Lex Luthor leaving Smallville

Published by cvernonpal at 5:25 am under TV News Edit This

Smallville’s Lex Luthor actor Michael Rosenbaum released a goodbye letter to his fans today announcing that he was leaving the CW drama after seven seasons, thanking his fans as well as the show’s creators and staff.

Smallville executives released their own “thank you” to Rosenbaum for his portrayal of the Lex, announcing that he would still be a recurring guest star on the show.

This is all very interesting as Lionel Luthor actor John Glover was killed off in the last episode.

But don’t worry about Smallville being short on villains. Smallville execs say that two new villains, one called Doomsday from the comic book series and another female villain yet to be named are on their way to Smallville.

Rosenbaum said he while he looks fondly on his time spent as Lex Luthor and on Smallville, he is looking forward to the new chapter in his life.
